I have a newly planted Honeysuckle plant in our back yard...?

should I cover it with something to protect it from the freezing weather? It's about 31 degress during the night/early morning, and some of the leaves and a branch on one side are turning brown.

Honeysuckle plants are fairly hardy, but as it's newly planted some protection would be on the safe side, you only have to protect the roots and not the whole plant, this can be done by putting down a covering of hedge clippings or grass clippings or even old newspapers around the base of the plant, it might look untidy but you can remove them when the danger of freezing is over.
Reply:Plant Group: Climber.
