How do you pamper yourself?

It wasn't until a year ago I realized how amazing it was to spend 10-15 minutes pampering yourself, especially when you are mom. .

I usually mix up a homemade body scrub of honey, salt, sugar and a little olive oil or almond oil. Depending on the time of year I always add a little essential oils to my mix and too my tub. With Spring in the air I have choosen honeysuckle. I use a seperate scrub on my feet the same mix except with pepperment oil. It's amazing what pepperment will do to your feet. I but a ton of plain old tea lights and add a drop of the oil to them, it gives off an amazing scent. A nice hot tub bath and then take some mommy time and read or watch a movie. I have taught my children from an early age sometimes mommies need mommy time and they respect that and let me be for a while. I try to do it about once a week but I usually do a full body and facial scrub daily in the shower.

What do you do when you are feeling burnt out and need a moment to yourself.

How do you pamper yourself?
Great tips DaileyJoy!Thanks :)I think I may try some of these this wknd. The bathtub is my single-most favorite place in the world when I get any "mommy time" lol!I light all my candles around my bathtub which is surrounded by mirrors %26amp; a skylight above me %26amp; turn off the lights %26amp; turn on my little radio %26amp; sometimes a little red wine %26amp; I seriously lose touch w/the rest of the outside world LOL!Have a beautiful day! :)
Reply:i go get a manicure and a pedicure twice a month..........ahhhhhhhhhh................. goin tomorrow :)
Reply:I have a long hot bubble bath listen to music have some herberal tea yum read a book
Reply:When you are a mom, sometimes you need to get away from all the noise and chaos of your house for just one day. That is all moms should pamper themselves at a salon. By getting a new hair cut, massage, facial, or manicure (not all in one day, of course) will make you feel like you've done something for yourself. As a mom, you are used to putting your kids first, so it's good to spend some alone time once in a while.
Reply:in addition to what you have already mentioned...i also set aside time for exercise

as a busy mom i'd always put it off until i set it out as "mommy time"...as soon as i walk in the house i say hello to everyone and go off to exercise...it is great for stress relief!

i love bubbly baths and scrubs too! don't forget the relaxing music to go with those candles...and a nice cup of tea!
Reply:~ daileyjoy... great question for a woman, so I feel a little akward:

~ I use virgin coconut oil... love the smell... love the smoothing of my wrinkles... softening of my tired feet... healing of dryness on my scalp and elbows...

~ However, I have not yet tried to eat it... although they say you should [for internal health, healing].

~ As a 65 year old man, I don't have the same outlook about getting grandpa time in the tub...

~ I would rather sit by the shores of a lake or ocean in the evening and listen to the water lap on the rocks/shore... watch the Lord's universe above me... twinkle in the night... and, perhaps strum some music on my guitar and sing some worship music and/or make up my own lyrics to tunes I love... that gives me peace to my soul.

~ But, till I get the lake/ocean, I at least lie in bed each nite, pull my classical guitar across my chest, as I lie down for the nite... I sing some worship songs... I thank the Lord for His day... I'll make up some new songs just for Him... the one I love so much... the One who gave me my salvation... Jesus Christ. Amen.
Reply:I just listen to music, and read a book.

Sometimes I give myself a pedicure.

Its relaxxing enough for me!

But for Valentines Day, my b/f brought me to a spa to get massages, and it was AHMAZING...But I know I can't have that very often.

[+about your previous post, your 11 yr old walking on her tip toes...I do the same thing, unless I am wearing shoes. Shes not alone!!]
Reply:when i feel like that...

i cleanse my face...paint my toes. get a facial. make myself a homemade mask.

i love to make my own facial masks and stuff. my best so far is brown sugar and water...simple yet cleanses ur pores without leaving ur fce dry...it actually moisturizes
