Do whitetail deer like to eat honeysuckle vines?

Yes they love them , I have seen deer bedded near them as well ,

Its a favorite food of theirs after the crops die off and early in the year . Because they stay green later in the year and sprout earlier than most plants.

Do whitetail deer like to eat honeysuckle vines?
They are lactose intolerant.
Reply:YES!!
Reply:Yes.This is always a great place to hunt in the fall.Watch for new growth on the vines and you will see deer come to it.
Reply:yes they love them.
Reply:YES but only with Jelly.........
Reply:I have never seen one eat it, but im sure they are like ice cream to them. Deer LOVE sweetr things, thats why you can use rotten apples and some salt, hang it from a tree, let it drip on the ground, and they will eat the ground! I would say, yes they probly chomp on them every chance they get.
Reply:Yes, whitetails love eating honeysuckle and since honeysuckle tends to form thickets deer like to use them for cover. That gives me all the reasons I need to set up my stand where I can see honeysuckle thickets. Shoot the deer when it stretches its neck out to reach for a tender leaf, but it's sometimes hard to drag a deer out of a thicket if it falls in a bad place.
