My honeysuckle flowers are releasing no scent.?

The vine is about four years old, blooms well, and seems to be otherwise healthy. However, it produces no scent whatsoever. The only thing I have noticed, is that in the last two years, it has been home to what I believe is a ladybug infestation. Not sure that would affect the smell of the flower alone.

My honeysuckle flowers are releasing no scent.?
My honeysuckle doesn't smell either. I understand that most of the hardy, cold winter or evergreen varieties don't.

Where there are ladybugs, there are APHIDS. Aphids love honey suckle. I don't like to use sprays, so a blast from a spray nozzle on a hose shoudl be enough to knock them off.

Ladybugs are a good thing!
