If bees die off could humans figure out a way to pollinate?

and could we use honeysuckle plants for honey?

If bees die off could humans figure out a way to pollinate?
Well I am sure we would have too do something. But its not just your flowers it would be food crops and no you could not hand pollinate those,we would surely face starvation in just a short couple of growing seasons.Other bees and some wasps pollinate also but are not as dependable as the honey bee.I have seen few this year even though I have many flowers, garden and tons of clover. No you get honey from honey bees.
Reply:Bees are not the only pollinators there are:

Wasps, ants, birds, butterflies etc..

And some people do opt to pollinate their own plants in order to better control their output or to prevent or to to create crossbreeds.

Technically anything a bee will pollinate is able to make honey.... it is usually termed 'wild' bee honey.

If you have tasted various honey brands you will notice the difference in taste, due to the plant that the bee pollinated.

The popular brands are made mostly from clover, orange and other citrus blossoms...
Reply:I'm sure we could figure out a way to do it; we put man on the moon for heaven's sake. As far as honey is concerned, bees can theoretically make it out of any nectar regardless of the plant it comes from. I'm not sure if there is any sort of man-made process for making honey, though. The only reason honeysuckle is called that is because it's nectar is very sweet like honey, but it isn't honey.
Reply:I think they're working on a little "artificial" bee, but I don't think we could pollinate the world. We'd be in over our heads and in major trouble. I think there are other insects that pollinate, but I'm not sure just how much the bee is responsible for. As far as honey, I think it requires the enzymes in the bee's digestive tract. I'm not sure if it could be made artificially.
Reply:Bees pollinate all that is grown. If the bees died off we would all starve to death. I t would be impossible to pollinate everything that man now depends on for food crops. Not to mention flowers dying off.
Reply:There's always hand pollination!
